any idea where can i buy a 12v transformer?

how much does it cost?

Why you want a 12 volt transformer?

Transformer output is not DC.

Most LED today is DC source.

Anyway you can get from Sim Lim or RS

6.5 * 2 * 2 + 3.75 * 1.5 *1.5,(Decomn on 14/9/08)

Did you use a constant current driver to run luxeon Vs? Not advisable to run direct from DC

source.Any surge and the LED gone.

How is the tank lite up like?

I'm using the luxdrive buckpuck LED driver, 1 of the best compact drivers you can find already. Its not a driver problem, the problem lies with the luxeon V. I have CREE XR-E, Luxeon K2 running on the same drivers, all the 8 luxeon V I had got this problem. CREE Leds are still optically clear despite of longer usage.

I just ordered another 20pcs of CREE XR-E royal blues and blues with 4x 1000mA buckpucks.

If for project testing propose the you can get a variable 30 volt DC

5 to 10 Amp unit.

I got one 10 A unit last week for S$170

I am using Seoul semicon so far no issue.

You can get a 1 A 12 vdc adaptor. I think less than S$20

i can get the LED panel that is similar to those that are installed on the ERP gantry.

but how do i check if they are suitable for reef tanks? its a 3FT panel.

You need a Lux meter or a PAR meter to determine the light output when install

above your tank of 2 ft water height.

How much you got it for? Their P4 royalblues looks quite good, however they are basing on 50% lumens maintenance for 30000hrs.

I still have not pay up yet.
