Means this lens can sit on top of the star pcb and the led is inside the slot??

Not really.

It meant for SMD mount LED.

For star pcb because the place where we solder our wiring is very close to the

led and because many of us cannot solder as nice as SMD the LENs has the problem

of sitting nicely.

So need to file off area block by our soldering and hold it in place with a tiny drop of

PVC glue to prevent it from dropping out

So do all the drilling and tapping myself.

Not easy job especially the hole is only M2 size.

Is it possible to switch to M3 or M4 size? The machining cost will also be cheaper, since those are more standard thread sizes.

M3 maybe can.Not so sure.M4 definitely cannot.The screw cap will short the LED

What light standard you need the LED to match?

150 w MH, 250 W MH or 400 w MH?

What light spectrum you need?

10000k, 14000k or 20000k or others?

What additional feature you need?

Just on/off or on/off with one dimming for all LED or on/off

with separate dimming for white and blue LED or Auto on and

auto off with 8 hrs/10 hrs/12 hrs photoperiod or Auto on and

auto off with 8 hrs/10 hrs/12 hrs photoperiod with 28 days moon

tracker

Above are some of the basic I need before I can estimate the

pricing of a LED light fixture beside the length,height and depth of

the tank.

oh ok wat info i've is min 250W MH

light spectrum not so sure as i'm new here and marine as well

only on off button but must able to have blue and white in different switches auto on off wise i'll buy a timer is it cheaper this way????

Previous Tank 3 x 2.5 x 2 ft since year 2005. 23 Jan 2009 fully decom my 3ft. Now only left 24"x14"x16" and I am very happy cos can see all my fish in near range.. haha

For Bros who had place order for P4 U rank white LED with star PCB they are available only next month.

This is update from Seoul semicon.

However if you need them now I have an alternative solution for you to consider.

It cost a bit more but with the advantage of bigger PCB and hence can dissipate heat better

You can also mount the lens on LED without additional filing job.
