switched on the lights and found my sps.. well ermmm not looking too well..... slightly whitish base and the upper end of it releasing something that looks like slime...

it is confirmed that im gonna loose it?

dosen't look dead huh? well it's still the same now BUT the slime is gone... did a tiny water change just now... less then 5%.. don't think will make any difference but then i'm just hoping for the best... i have another small monti that's doing perfectly fine...

48 hours later and is this considered RTN? or is it dead already? colour became light green from dark green...

Is the frag epoxied on the rock? Or does it seem to be lying flat? Some hair algae can release chemicals that can cause growth retardation in sps.

it's definately NOT lying flat...

there is a rock just behind it actually but it isn't touching it at all..

hmmm i have uncontrollable amounts of hair algae in my tank!

when i remove some, it would grow back from the same spot... do i have to scrub and remove the 'root' of the algae???
