6k is for growth but a tint of yellow. as more k you add, its more blue and pleasing to eyes but the downside it does not prmote as much growth as 6k bulb. maybe u want to try 10K, slight tint of blue, together with some T5 actinic to add colors.

otherwise, go for T5 which is sufficient for Lps. unless you itchy backside want to add SPS as i did previously to my 150w tank and those sps likely need to be top of the tank. but most importantly, quality of water must be real good for sps.

hope this helps.

i'm also searching for lightings.

the 6000k bulb produce more PAR compare to 20000k so that is why your coral benefits more light spectrum from the 6000k bulb. By the way, your tank is 4.5ft so you will need at least 2x150watts to have a good coverage.

if you wish to use a 20000k bulb, what i suggest is to use atleast 2 x150 watts and run longer hours. Alternatively, use a 14k bulbs with T5 blue suppliment to have a blue tint effect.

my 2 cents...
