Save Money on DI resin

Hi guys, i tested a method that works and can cut ur spending of money on DI resin by almost half,

No1;super easy way, just need to turn ur tap on so slightly that the output comes out as slow as possible (think trickle) just abit faster then drops by drops. TDS meter measured 0 when on slow flow, my media was exhausting and when the flow is faster, a steady stream TDS reading was around 10, maybe slow flow gives it more time to react with the media? dun really know why

No2; the normal method of changing resin media would be to change all 3 canister which is what i did previously, then i tried to see how much a single resin catridge will last me on the slow flow method so i changed only 1, and to my surprise it lasted me 4 water changes of slightly less then 100l , total of almost 400l,

compared to my previous method which will last the same amount of water with 2 brand new media but do note that carbon need to be change at same frequency of around 400l per change. and remember to mark ur old resin cartridge that you last change so u dont change that 1 out when renewing resins

hope it can help u guys save some money here, any new findings can post here so we can all benefit. btw tests are done on a crystal pro di unit, dont think it will work on ro/di as they require pressure to run
