Hi Euphoria,

Just sharing what i think everyone would be interested in.

Not so sure if the info is 100% accurate though.

GT,

I got the same expression on my face when i first come across this info :)

I've been using tropic marine.

And it says on the box, nitrate and phosphate free.

I better start testing for phosphate in the salt :)

er.... mmoles is millimoles/kg? (pardon my chemistry, been a while)

Isn't that like SUPER SUPER small?

If it's really so super small, you'll probably be adding more phosphate to your water by feeding your fish than by using a different brand of saltmix....

That is SO CORRECT!

Don't worry a mountain of sweat over such a molehill! ;)

i also know nuts about those molely stuff.

Below is from the thread :-

I assume that the values are actually micromoles/kg (as written at the bottom of the chart), not millimoles/kg (as written at the side of the chart).

1.2 umoles/kg = 0.12 ppm phosphate

It did also mention that the amount is not really significant unless u have a phosphate problem

isnt that a lot of phosphates?

Not if you use Instant Ocean.

FWIW, the amount of phosphate there is only significant if you have a phosphate problem. Many aquaria can processs that phosphate just fine. And, if you are using it for 10% water changes, your diluting the water change with the other 90% already in the tank.
