Just realized that the Aquazonic T5 super bright light tube is 12,000K, and i have 2 tubes on one side, will it be too strong for algae to grow? Should i get 3000K instead of 12,000K?

Late answer: Can't use 12,000K at all. Get 2700 or 3000K

New scrubber update: The new design will not require a slot in the pipe. If you have not built one yet, and you have trouble with DIY, then you might wait for the new DIY plans to be posted; there should be no hard-to-cut pieces (like a slot), at least for the very simple versions.

Dude is that a BBQ mesh u r using? Metal? Also the back reflector? Metal as well?

The mesh is not metal. Its a plastic. And the back reflector maybe a metal. Im not really sure about the reflector lol..

What's ur nitrate And phosphate to begin with?.. my tank is close to 40ppm nitrate... but I don't have algae growing as well.. weird..

I didnt check my nitrate and phosphate. Since that things is hard to find at our lhs, have to order it . I think my PO4 is very high. I can see the algae growing on my sand bed.

After 2 weeks running scrubber, my NO3 and PO4 was dropping but the green hair algae on the glass in my sump. Is this normal? Do I have to remove it or just leave it growing? Thanks

I have only a shrimp and a sand goby. Here is the screen that was build 1 month ago and every week since then I have to wash.

It helps me to clear the brown algae leaching from my dead rocks.
