Hi guys, u pple good wif router??? i have juz bought 1... alrite... all the connection is up...both my comp can haf internet access..juz too bad..i cant use irc... heard from pple that i must open some ports in the router or sth...anyone knoe how to do it...

how do u normally connect to irc server?

is there anywhere in ur broadband router's configuration where u can configure the firewall?

Which router you are using? Is you router has builtin firewall?

Hi, my best guess is a broadband router. To use iRC, you need to open some inbound ports (Port Forwarding) to your PC's internal IP address, and of course enable the access control.

oh yar... mine is a broadband router.. those wif built in adsl modem...

it has built-in firewall, but i dun think its activated...if its activated...wat shld i do abt it???

Open port 6667 and 6668. The default install for IRC client is using port 6667. Port 6668 is for redundant use.
