bicolour cleaner wrasse

anyone noe if this fish will attack fishes rather than clean them? i gt 1 from ah beng n it bit my black tang n PBT till all fins tore. after removing removing 90% of my live rocks, then i managed to catch it. then down the toilet bowl it went. waste $12 for nothing. lol.....think i find back neon goby better

Sorry for being harsh with my words earlier Vtec, please pardon me. you could have given it away to some one, or isolated it.. Releasing it into our waters as Rocky Boy as suggested is probably not good idea (but still way better than just taking its life)unless we know what species the fish was and where it came from, as our local waters might be beyond the natural range of this fish. ie. the release will contribute to alien species in our local waters.

Furthermore, i believe that you did not have a true cleaner wrasse, but a sabre tooth blenny mimicking the cleaner wrasse.

Introducing Wrasse will not jeopardise our reefs. Our water do already have many species of Wrasse, with some agressive ones, also being depleted by reclaimations and chemical pollutions in some areas.

I would definitely prefer to release it to sea, than to pass on to inexperiences reefers.
