Recomend dive spots/groups for Newbie diver

Hi SG Reef,

I'm a newbie PADI open water certified diver and will be spending a month in Singapore. Looking for local advice on places or groups to go diving. Hoping for day trips or maybe max 2 day, that would fit in between job interviews (looking for finance operations position if anybody has one )

the only diving day trip in singapore would be p. hantu or bintan area. however the water around this region generally has v bad vis due to land reclaimation and heavy boat traffic. however if you have a sharp eye and have the confidence ot dive in local water, you'll find that we have alot of marine life actually.

otherwise, you might want to do a weekend trip up to tioman or aur (malaysia). currently its their peak season again so u'll have to book in advance. tioman is more commercialized and aur is more laid back. both offer good diving in my opinion. you can pm me if you are looking for diving packages. i'm a free lance padi instructor....
