Yup yup... I really think that the marine aquarium industry is growing like crazy ever since the Finding Nemo Craze... Of course it led to alot of tragedy from inexperienced aquarists and LFS but I believe many serious aquarists grew from that craze as well..

I really hope that the fish tanks in CK Tang and Chagni airport will have lots of corals soon.. They'r ehuge and really have alot of potential..

Yup yup... Booming industry... And I think for serious hobbies like marine aquarium keeping and aquascaping... The boom would not die down easily (unless serious global economic downturn or something - touch wood) but instead will spread and spread as more Singaporeans see the absolute beauty of Marine aquariums (with all due respect to freshwater Dutch aquariums). They're simply beautiful...

How long have you guy been into it already? The flare will always be there one right?

agree .. my bro & i have been in it since the 1980s... but burnt a lot of $$ along the way because of inexperience and lack of information.

we had to buy a lot of books and read up on our own...

my bro just sold his 3 ft tank... but should be back again with more permanent stuff :)

i guess now's the time to give back to the community after 20 years of experience ...

here...a lady to answer this qn... :P

The tanks in Tangs and Robinsons is set up by a lfs and commissioned by the same people selling the La Mer cosmetics... :)

One of the major ingredients is zooplankthon thus the use of marine tank to depict whatever they wan to highlight...

According to my info...The range is developed by a NASA scientist with aid from astronauts...after they studied the effects of space travel with relation to skin results...

Mind you...the stuff there not cheap also...even more expensive than SKII... :(

Thanks AT!! great forum here :)

glad that the marine hobbyist are growing... will try to look after "newbies" to the hobby :)

both my brother and I are staying in Punggol area, so we'd try to look after that segment :)

i believe both setting up and maintenance would be crucial areas for newbies... i've seen to many fish died because of bad maintenance :(
