Different fishes will have different habit of feeding. You can let us know what fishes you have?

Normally brine shrimp and missis shrimp will attract fishes first bite in an aquarium.

3 chromis...a bit of orange color...bt dunno the exact name...cant find it on the net...

In future when buying new fish especially exotic one, you may wish to test feed them. Give them mixture of food but live food such as brine shrimp will likely to attract them. U can also try buy Henry food to test. When fishes are stress, they are unlikely to feed. Give them sometime and be patience. Some of the marine fish can last quite sometime without food.

At times it is perfectly normal for fish to go on 'hunger strike' for afew days. Probably one of several common reasons:

1) Never environment, felt threatened and stressed.

2) Not used to the water condition.

3) these had been freshly caught, not used to pellets yet.

4) They want abalone or lobster sashimi. :pirate::D

Even from sea caught, it is quite common to starve for almost a week, all it takes is one to start, then the others will follow. Other feeding fish will help shortening this 'cycle' time too.

Also, if you still prefer dry food, try using GroTech NutriVital Plus Food size 0.7mm.

Your fish should love them as well.

guess fishes are like human. each of them have their own likes and dislikes. so need to try a few types of food till everyone agree on the same taste. for tangs, nori/seaweed soak in garlic works without fail :)

Hi, these are definitely chromis. Some shops called them "leading fishes"

previously when i started to set up new marine tank. I started off with clowns only. None of them want to eat for weeks.

Then recommended by friends to intro "leading fish". Once in the tank they "fly" to eat the food i feed then my clowns seeing that also started to eat.

These lil' jerks r about the easiest to keep. Jus' start off with frozen brineshrimps, daphnia or mysids (available at LFS)

n later they'll develop into pesky fin nippers. Typical behaviour of most of the damsel family.

Have fun,

Finbir.
