Don't think coralline algae you can remove with you hand. Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi All,

I think, my is more like to be red cyanobacteria.

This is becasue it get to produce air bubbles when the white light is on. It is be due to the photosynthesis. It produce bubbles so easy when the light is on for 1hrs.

It more like due to over feeding. Because my Blue face don't eat at all. Trying or hope she will eat. In the end, died.

CAN ANYONE TEACH ME HOW TO CURE RED CYANOBACTERIA? Beside using a good skimmer and introduce a Orange-Spotted Sleeper Goby. Water changes for 10%, already done.

Anyone, pls advise me your experience to sure this red cyanobacteria.

Thks in advance.

I am also fighting cyanoalgae. Luckily it only grow in my refugium whereby I can trim it. But it comes back so fast.

So someone actually pass me a solution, which he claim to be effective. According to him.. he has cyano on sandbed too, so everytime he change water, just squeeze some of it, now he don't see it anymore.

I tried use it recently, seem like effective as I saw a reduce in cyano in my refugium, I wonder is it cause by this solution or because some sealuttuce growing on water surface, reducing the lighting.

I dont know too.. someone give it to me.

Heard it's not cheap. $50+ for that bottle. Think it's about 500ml.

Let me try out if this really can help reduce cyanobacteria first.
