Guys,

A thread to start off my office's tank.

Subject of putting up a tank in the office was started back few months ago after setting up one at home. Brought up this subject in front of my 2 bosses who don't appreciate fishes in the 1st place, din even bother me after saying! Guess all the ideas are gone..so mainly focus the one at home.

Lately, just get to know that one of them started Koi rearing..well, since they know that i keep fish so they sought for advices. Shared my knowledge from day 1 till now etc etc...print out a list of Kois farm and some reputable shops. *luckily got internet plus forums! I even drove them to Kois farms for shopping. From that trip, i mention about my tank and talk cocks and bull stories..and brought up my ideas.....guess what, proposal agreed! Warned them about high PUB bills because the tank going to run one cheapo high consumptions chiller.

So started sourcing for JBJ 24-28gal tank...so fated that my father in law going to give up his 28gal tank (*china brand) and with no hesitation, grab that set and set it up at office...

So guys, i dun know what Im going to keep ....and one of the bosses already told me she going to buy a fish and put in my tank *she din even know about marine fishes! & another female colleague of mine wans a "nemo"! Wah piang eh! guess that this tank is meant for WHOLE staffs of my company!

So stopped all this stories...share some setup that complete last few days!

Can add few more small pieces one... Should you want your Aquascape to be permanent try using Epoxy bonder product of Aquapharm... Quite good...

hey wil,

planning to use a skimmer for this nano?

no bro, cos home nano tank also neber uses skimmer...the tedious part is that u got do water changes to maintain water parameters. As for LS, me just kept pair of clowns fish. At least keep the NO3 down.

glad to hear u got ur bosses approval..

since u have work load n tank to busy with..

maybe u might consider going bare bottom for e tank although u already add sand..

i c u got a wavemaker,but at least w/o sand makes e maintenance easier

least u jsut suck up e waste food n crap from e bottom

with sand can b a real problem to e tank glass if u use e magnetic wiper..

can scratch the surface... but surely of e pple in ur office some1 sure will out of gd intention play e magetic wiper..???

trust me algae tht grows in scratches r damn hard to remove...

no offence i duno what u intend to keep...

but i tink a big leather coral and 2 clowns r e easiest and presentable n cheapest to start with...

u might even get a leather coral free if any reefers de-comm tanks..

and the clowns can host e leather..

guess ur office already have air-con?

so ur aircon is only cut in when ur office aircon stop?

i wish u success in e office tank...
