beautiful wrasses offered at LADD.

a terminal male rhomboid's fairy wrasse

a gorgeous and rare cupid's moon wrasse (Thalassoma cupido)

and a pair of australian hooded fairy wrasse. LADD lists them as one female and one changing female to male. but both look females to me and i will say both are females based on phenotypic traits... but it does not matter as one will morph soon

Nice flame angel. Aberrant flames like this are super rare, but has occurred a few times but all usually go to Japan where they pay thousands for. So unlikely it'll appear here where we are only willing to pay hundreds for this.

How are they going for so cheap despite being so rare? Or is it just in Hong kong? 100hkd is like 3 happy meals here lol.

you tell me! i was shocked too!

perhaps sold as miscellaneous wrasse from africa. even here in singapore i've bought the very rare undescribed kwazulu fairy wrasse at mccosker price. they always get mixed up because all flashers and juvenile fairies look very similar at first glance.

only if you look closer and know the differences then they make a diff.

but the honkies know their stuff. so to sell it at so cheap price.... is beyond me

here's one in full display. from my friend in the states.

hybrid powder blue tangs are very common.

that's a nice specimen. but the white spots look quite bad.

yup a new specimen... bought it that time already have white spot... but it is healing.. and feeding well.. one thing i like about this hybrid is that it has both yellow fins top and bottom... and also it has a golden rim on the eyes.. just like powder black...
