Trimma unisquamis - found also in hawaiim but also else where such as cocos island.

Trimma milta - found in many of the central pacific islands

Cirrhilabrus lunatus from Philippines. The lunatus from philippines are colored differently from japan ones, and may be a new species. but lunatus wrasse is a very variable species on its own. we have never had lunatus come in philippine shipment before, but should be looked out for.

This was regarded as a black color form of Cirrhilabrus lunatus, but was recently elevated to species level.

This is Cirrhilabrus brunneus, also from Philippines. This is a totally black fairy wrasse. super unique color.

More pics of Cirrhilabrus brunneus. It was described in 2006 from hiroyuki tanaka's specimen. This species was found in north-eastern Kalimantan, Indonesia, but aquarium specimens were collected in Sulawesi, and also an adult was photographed underwater in Liloan, Cebu.

so keep a look out in philippine and sulawesi shipments!

this is a rusty flame hybrid with alot of flame blood.

two lesser known but beautiful (in my opinion) australian butterflies.

chelmonops curiosus - the western talma. very rare in the trade. it has a sharper head, forehead is less steep and the silver scales inbetween the black bars are centered black. it also has a longer dorsal fin.

chelmonops truncatus - the eastern talma. seldom seen in the trade because unpopular, but otherwise easy to obtain on request. forehead is steeper, and dorsal fin is truncated.

they require slightly cooler waters but can adapt well to reef tanks with a chiller. personally, i think the western talma is more beautiful because of the longer dorsal fin. but sadly it's rarer and very hard to get.

He imported about 20 thy all died fast ( i think water temp was the big problem )

Rare fish alert!

Paracheilinus attenuatus x P. mccoskeri.

in english, this is a hybrid of the attenuatus flasher and mccosker's flasher wrasse from africa. flasher hybrids are very common but this is the first time i've seen attenuatus coming into play.

a pure blooded attenuatus flasher in full display.

if you ask me, the pedigree is much more beautiful. this is one of my favorite flasher species but sadly, it's not easy to find here in singapore.
