V special! Most likely a hybrid and not new sp.

The highly controversial tinker x declivis at BH selling at 750USD. No matter whether it is really a real hybrid or not, it's small size makes the fish worth the price.

Still looks like declivis.. lol..

the tinker x declivis...

if it comes from christmas islands it is NOT a hybrid.

if it comes from elsewhere in the pacific then it could be.

xmas island.

Still looks like declivis.. lol..

It is blacker than a declivis.

When you going to get yours? Lol..

I'll if it ever make its way to sgpore.

the un-id flasher wrasse that looks like octotaenia is from komodo island sanctuary.

it is rare locally and is difficult to spot and capture. gerald allen is working on it and it could be a new species.

Here is the story of the kingi angelfish in Taiwan.

The kingi can only be caught in africa below 50m depth where many sharks swim and the risks involved add on to the high price of the fish.

Here is a pic of where the kingi is caught taken by the diver who collected the fish.

The kingi is a full grown adult. It went to an angelfish fanatic from Taiwan whose nick is know as "pineapple42" in another forum.

Here are pics of the beautiful kingi:

Here here are pics of the same kingi in his 3m FOWLR tank back in March 2011:

The kingi is hard to feed and to keep. Taking pellets on and off and is quite shy and under constant harassment from the clarions.

Barely 2 months and it's showing internal bacteria infection.

Sadly it gave in before 3 months was reached.

The owner felt that the fish would have survived if it was kept in its own tank without other boisterous tankmates.
