Yongshun,

BTW, how big is your tank? There's some long term cost involved here.

a 24 gal nano tank...so that will be around 1.5 feet?

I bit the bullet & bought myself a Crystal Pro+ water filter. Have not regretted since cause getting clean water is so much more convenient now. There's no excuse not to change water at regular basis. ;)

Do you mean NSW, as in natural sea water? If so, I'm not sure NSW cost less in the long run.

1 bag of nsw will be enuff for you to do ur weekly water change since ur tank is not big,

i think irwana sells 1 bag for $2? not very sure, but their water quite good but need more minerals (Mg, Ca, strontium)that u need to add in urself

but u still need plain water for evaporation top ups anyway, so u will still need good quality non tap water

ok...hmm then how about the nsw at aquamarin? ne idea how much is it or if its gd? that's the alternative i'm thinking of...cos irwana is too far for me...living in the north area n i dun drive...walkin to irwana to buy the nsw is too siong liao le...esp for the initial setup...imagine carrying omost 100kg of load n walk all the way out to take bus...*sweat* reminds me of army road march...nightmare...haha...unless no choice hehe

ya...for topping up im gonna use the distilled water from ntuc...$0.65 per 1.5L if im not wrong...

Bought a total of 7 cartons of NTUC distilled water when I first started off. (That was 84 x 1.5l bottles) I find it too siong even with a car. Funny thing is, every time I opened up a fresh bottle to top-up, I can feel money draining into the tank. LOL
