Nice zoa. For the snail, they do have method to prevent the hermit from eating them but not all are so lucky to escape...

Tank : 4 X 2 X 2 with low iron front panel and external overflow

Skimmer : BK SM200 with waste collector

Return Pumps : Red Dragon 6m3 and Ehiem 1262

FR : 2 X Deltec 509 & powered by AB2000

Nitrate Filter : Deltec NF 509 and tee off from AB2000

Hahaha... I experienced the same thing before. Now my remaining snail is dodging the 2 hermits the best he can. Need to get empty shells for them soon.

bro, got to get the shells soon, especially if you see the hermit 'acting funny'. I saw my hermit trying to squeeze into his old shell last Fri but failed cos too small. Then Mon, it starts killing the snail. I think it's going for the shell.

Recently my turbo snails are not as hardworking as before. See the dirty background. Do you think it is because of me adding the hydor nano wavemaker? Too much wave resulted in snails avoiding the high current areas?

Anyway, just got another snail from bro crash. Hope it will help restore the cleaniness.

haha.. good to know the turbo is doing its job... shld be enough to clean up the tank in a few days... juz beware of hermit..

dun worry, hermit now alone in isolation tank. now at most it can pick on pods or mysis shrimps that I throw in. no more snail meals for him.
