Strange tank tales?

Any one got weird true stories to share? Like fish that disappeared without a trace or something?

I used to have these two small firefish for a month that got really tame- would come to the surface to eat. One morning they refused to come out of their cave. Then, I saw that about 75 percent of their bodies were diseased looking and their fins were clamped strangely. Very sluggish. Funny thing was that the sixline wrasse in the tank was fine and the firefish had been ok the day before. They didn't make it.

Ok, now someone else B)

some butterfly acts as cleaners when they are young.. same thing go for most fishes.

Hey Kel, what's a snowflake moray? An eel?

Wolfie, my firefish disappeared too. First day it was introduced to the tank... it didn't hide or behave as if it was stressed. Just happily swimming around. But the next day it was GONE. Never saw it ever again, and it has been a month, maybe more. Never even saw its carcass.

Do you have an anemone? I was told (by other expert forumers) my anemone ate my firefish.

Clarence,

yes, snowflake is indeed an eel.. hehehe..

chances are, like what qixian had mentioned, it might have been eaten.. do u have crabs or huge bristleworms?? they might be the likely culprits..
