Hi,

Notice my tank has recently filled with green grape algae. Though nice but getting abit out of hands. I got a PBT and a algae blenny but they don't seems to like it.

Any suggestions to control the growth would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Could you share with us how you manage to grow it so well that it spreads? l'm sure some of us would love seeing it growing and not going into asexual and pollute the tank.

Bro, frankly I don't know... notice a small branch one day and then slowly it started to grow. Find it nice at first but now abit too much to be a beauty.

Don't mind if its just isolated cos it gaves the tank a natural look.

yellow tangs are known to eat this macro. you can try camel shrimps also.they eat this stuff. however, they pick or eat coral too.. so if you have coral don't get that. other than that.. manual removal, phosphate reactor or just getting a torch and burning it off the rock. hth

i've been through the battles of that algae

Coming soon.. Invasion of the Marine Planted Tanks

thanks bro. camel shrimp can't as I got coral in the tank. Surprisely, my water parameter is ok. May be should try to get a yellow tang.

Burning it is abit too much for now. may be if all else fail will try this.

Ya can put it in the sump and runs the light 24/7.

This will prevent it from going asexual.
