T5 vs PL

from what I understood, T5 is better in terms of lumen, but you'll need more T5s than PLs.. On the average 2 T5s to 1 PL - can any expert advise here? I need to upgrade 2 .. currently using PLs.

PL is crap. Dont bother with it. Besides, T5 is not very much more expensive.

i am very surprise to hear thatT5 is cheap..... may i know how much izzit? i am current using 10,000K Aqualux 36W PL, costing me $20 per tube..... can anyone pls advise how much do i have to pay for a 36W 10,000K T5 tubes? thanks

T5 can penetrate deeper then PL.. which can only go slightly past a foot before the intensity decreases.. t5 is not as hot as pl and as to what woonming said... he was reffering to the lifespan of the tube... T5's can last longer then PLs so u end up saving in the long run.. and it's colour is better anyway.. PL has a very artificial colour IMHO
