Cauliflowers Finger (Dendronephthya)

Hi all...

Been seeing alot of cauliflowers fingers everywhere recently. But i realised some stand straight UP... some bent like as if they are dying... Could someone enlighten how to keep such species... cos i wouldn't want to buy them see them bent downwards...Thks

Just some personal experience.

All cauliflower will bend down when irritated or sudden change of water parameters.

When they say want to stand up, they can really become erect in a matter of seconds!!!!!!!

Very nice to see them move up and down. :lol::lol::lol::lol:

They are very difficult to keep in the long run as their survival rate in enclosed tanks are very low. Frankly, I have kept a few and they did not last long. I remembered they need pretty strong currents (also to catch their "micro-food). They will look beautiful when they "stand" but after a while, they will just wither and die.

But this is my personal experience. Not sure if other have better luck....

It is very difficult to keep cauliflower, not many has much success. However I do have a couple in my tank that has been ard for at least 6 months....

maybe becoz I overfeed and under-skim ....not sure <_<
