Hi Bro tjlee, to my limited knowledge, i think the answer to your question is yes. The CO2 is used to melt the media. You might also want to consider to equip the CR setup with pH controller as CO will affect pH of your tank. Pls note for pH controller to control your CO output, your need to have electronic solenoid valve. Alternatively, u can do a manual switch off but u must be vigilant. Also, ppl will add additional chamber to stablise pH. For your reference but do hear from senior here as i might be wrong. Good Day. : )
