I took some photos. Seems that the indigo dottyback (P. sankeyi x P. fridmani) is able to breed true. The lighter coloured fish are orchid dottybacks that should be undergoing meta soon.

Always something more important than fish.

Just when you think the fish is going to make it, it dies on you. I am rather used to this by now, but instead of throwing the fish away I decided to snap a few shots of it before I dumped it.

Freshly dead offspring of P.fridmani x P. sankeyi and P. fridmani x P. sankeyi, aka indigo dottyback offspring.

Interesting. They look like sankeyis to me.

Introducing Pseudochromis sankeyi, a species that is almost unobtainable outside the U.S. This species is found in the Red Sea just like the orchid dottyback and is a very peaceful species that can be kept in groups. The parents are likely the first fishes in Singapore and the breeding of this species is probably the first in Asia. :eyebrow:

Larval stage took around a month. :superman: Did not want to stress the fish so I just took a quick snap.
