Are US zoas really from the seas of US? Cause many a time GO could also bring in those "US standard" zoas and GO has already made it clear that their farm is in indo. Can some experts please shed some light on where exactly the so called US zoas come from to enlighten us, the ignorant people?

not so sure abt that...but from what i heard, they collect the sps , zoas or other corals from all over, and propagate there in indo farms. There is a website called coralfarmer or what, which every year u can bid to buy the propagated super rare corals from the farm. maybe it's the same for US zoas..they collect from there and propagate in asian.

yea bro victor. Many a times its just the LFS wanting to charge a high price for the zoas. so call it US zoas. If you do a search on the net , there is no such things as US zoa. In addition, most of the so called 'US zoas" are actually from the pacific or from indo. The moment people hear US zoa they dont mind to pay high price for it. :) Next time if a shop tell that its a US zoa we should actually ask them which part of US it actually comes from. So we can check it out. Haha. Later find out it comes from the indo flight from airport. :P

In fact, all or most of the Zoas from US are morph from Indo. Usually they are 'tank breed' and are a few generations from the initial mother colony under good propagation environment in the US farm/shops.

Due to the effort, the price are much higher. And need to add the cost of freight as well.

Just my $0.02. :)

ahhaah...singapore zoas...not bad. we can do that.

we set up a singapore zoas association and everyone involved must donate one zoa colony for the association.

then all the members will grow the frags in their tank. over time we will have singapore zoas.

:P
