Earth's Atlantis tank

Bro, wall mounted very tough to modify imo... if u can fit in a decent skimmer that is already a bonus imo... I would suggest you keep a simple fowlr with small fishes in order to have low bioload. I think u can also grow some chaeto in a basket at the overflow compartment to act as a natural filtration.

Bro earth, convenient to visit your tank? I have an Atlantis tank also, wall mounted. Initially fowlr, recently added 1 anemone. Want to see how u modify & learn from u. PLs SMS me at 98359089. Thanks -jkit.

Hi jkit, our wall mount AT still can have mushrooms (no problem to keep so far) and I also have Elegance, Blasto, Bubble (unable to fully bloom), Giono and lastly a bubble tip anemone. So far they have been with me for the past 3-8 weeks (bought separately from time to time). So if you wan, we can travel along this journey together of making a miracle to our wall mount AT.

I also understand that there is a good chance for keeping zoas/zoos? I will be going to a few LFS today (hopefully got half day) and check out if any is selling... will get some to try out.

I m most willing to share with you what I had modded to keep my SPS. Bro Earth is more fortunate than us bcos his is not wall mount. The width of his tank is at least twice bigger than ours and hence he still can fit in a skimmer. I am now looking at some Via Aqua Multi Skimmer... dunno if one of the bros here is willing to let me visit his place to see how this multi skimmer hangs on the tank....

Cheers

These people got no business ethic at all.

blame ourselves for being gullible. Anyway, business is 2-way traffic, u like, u get.... get liao dun regret....

haha... anyway, I'm finding modding my AT wall mount very challenging... more challenging than setting up a new setup.... cos alot of constraints n restraints... but just dun give up.... with technology, all can be conquer....

Yah, agree, willing buyer and seller, blame it on ourselves for not researching before we jump into it. It was when my fishes keep dying then I started my research and came across this forum. Even when I started modifying it's not smooth sailing also. Changed the modifications many times till now then I think its finally fully workable. :eyebrow: But sadly, I am going to waste all my efforts as I will be shifting house in March next year

Yes, with technology and new additives available, I am sure it will work somehow, but the negative point is that you will have to spend more than others with a properly built tank...

You can try tunze skimmers, they appear to be one of the smaller skimmers available in the market. Check out www.reefdepot.com.sg

Mine nothing much to see coz I didn't mod yet. No chiller, monitor or other high tech stuff. Except I change t5 to LED(from ikea). T5 was leaking current due to moisture. Btw, what's a skimmer for? Why need one?

Hi MITlancer, what high tech stuff u added in order to keep those? Chiller? Water change freq? Special food/additives? Any pic of your AT? My 2yr old AT still quite original except for ikea LED light. 2wk change 10% seawater. No additives. Feed anemone frozen shrimp twice/wk. LS on pellet & flakes & frozen mysis.

Hi Bro Jkit, check out my new post before we intrude too much of Bro Earth post. :paiseh: Nothing much, quite similar to yours. In fact, i think u are more hardworking than me... changing the seawater every fortnight.... :eyeblur:

posting some final pics of my "beloved" atlantis tank before i hand it over to my house buyer in 2 week's time... I had lots of fun, laughter, disappointment, tears and hardship toying with it for the past 4 years... Will be missing it though it may not be a perfect tank...
