SRC Member Earth Posted October 29, 2008 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 29, 2008 i notice nowadays the AT has no problems feeding...y is that so? last time AT used to be super hard to feed and eventually starved to death... The latest batch from LCK seemed to be feeding well especially the smaller ones... Any reefers who got their ATs from the latest batch may want to share their experience? Any reefers who got their ATs from the latest batch may want to share their experience? agree Bro Earth, i got a smaller AT from LCK thats feeding well even in their tank. eating frozen and whatsoever, unlike Reddevil's sole on dried food and being very strict vegetarian after releasing Success with AT really depends on 3 things 1) feeding or not 2) amount of ick in ur tank 3) aggression of course on top of all these 3, you must aquired a healthy specimen and ur water quality must be there. and bro Earth ur AT got very nice tear drop Quote If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless. Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. SRC Member uLtRaMaN Posted October 30, 2008 SRC Member Share Posted October 30, 2008 wow nice AT! yup agree the recent batches of AT from L201 are all feeding quite well. one thing about AT no matter how gd your water perimeters are ich will definitely appear. it's always safer to quarantine d fella and give good food and supplements to boost the immune system before releasing to your main tank.this way the survival rate will be much higher and also chances of infecting other fishes will be lowered as well. sheltiejazz
Hi bros, i was just wondering, compared to a powder brown, is the AT more difficult to keep? thanks.
SRC Member uLtRaMaN Posted October 30, 2008 SRC Member Share Posted October 30, 2008 totally agree with u and bro law. hehe mine still in quarantine tank. Been feeding henry's gourmet, omega one flakes & spectrum pellets. Can see a little ich on & off but still very healthy and eats like a pig. Over time, the immune system should improve and will then introduce into d main tank. Probably another 2 weeks or so. Wish me luck!

SRC Supporter mitlancer Posted December 30, 2008 SRC Supporter Share Posted December 30, 2008 Hi Bro Earth, i am another victim of Atlantis tank...... have been trying to modify my tank to fit in some small corals n mushies. Still trying to find ways n means to lower the temperature. As mine is Wall-Mount, it's even more challenging as the width of the tank is less than 30cm!!!!!! I dunno if I can succeed. But I still like the concept of wall mount and if can mod it successfully to have nice corals... definitely will feel more sense of achievement. Here is a picture of my wall-mount concept tank. So far, my Elegence is surviving pretty ok, with the mushies and Open Brain. Bubbles cant fully bloom but still surviving. I used to use toothbrush to scrap off brown algaes on the backdrop... but stopped doing so after my turbo snails are doing their job. Had looked into Ice-Probe and others but no way to install it.... so any tips or advice from the bros here will be most appreciated..... Thanks all.... Bro, wall mounted very tough to modify imo... if u can fit in a decent skimmer that is already a bonus imo... I would suggest you keep a simple fowlr with small fishes in order to have low bioload. I think u can also grow some chaeto in a basket at the overflow compartment to act as a natural filtration. Not going to give up. If i had seen this forum earlier when i first got my tank in 2005....... sigh.
