SRC Member NgaoCi Posted November 27, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 27, 2003 Hi guys sorry to bother you again, but sian still got prob!! I"ve installed lots of stuff and I"m 95% sure its not due to virus, but my pc still restarts occasionally when I first start it up, I wonder if its a hardware or windows prob? anyone have any ideas? Could be hardware problem also. Do you have a spare harddisk? Try to isolate the fault to determine its hardware or software failure 1st. SRC Member hoppinghippos Posted November 27, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 27, 2003 prob is it comes and goes, sometimes its perfectly fine, and sometimes it restarts (maybe 10% of the time only). is there some windows xp function I don't know about that causes this? I'll say its hardware problem. Got to isolate the cause one by one. You may wan to try other OS to determine if its XP that causing the reboot if you suspect XP as the culprit. SRC Member Vinoth Posted November 27, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 27, 2003 May be your power supply not enough? Sometimes it happens due to power supply also.
terryansimon
XP used to help me reboot my computer just as my Championship Manager 3 Man Utd team was trouncing Chelsea 5-0. about to full time already reboot. found out the problem was some conflicting software glitch. just updated it to XP requirement and et voila, everything solved. XP does make life easier for people. without first giving the same people a pain in the arse.
