Water flooding into collection cup of sk-05

Is it normal for the water to be in the collection cup and the bubbles are flooding off the cap of the skimmer??? advices are appreciated... Thanks Some fotos...

bro, is this a airstone skimmer? mayb u placed e skimmer too low in e tank, try to raise up abit.

Its not an airstone skimmer but if i raise it too high I can't close the canopy of the tank...

Connect an air-tube to the overflow at the collection cup. I use a 500ml plastic bottle to collect the excess skimmate.
