how to fix skimmer

hi, need help on fixing up protien skimmer.

currently brought a marco skimmer(2nd hand) without pump. trying to fix up pump(1200l/h) to it but no bubble only water is coming out from the air tube. can any kind soul reply.

What air tube? From what I know, the only air tube should be out of the water so air can be drawn INTO the skimmer when the pump draws water in.. at least thats how venturi works.

A couple of possibilities:

1. Are you running the test on fresh water? Skimmer will not produce fine bubbles on fresh water.

2. Check the air intake whether choke. Is this a normal issue with skimmer.

3. Think Micro Skimmer is a Needle Wheel format. Is your pump a needle wheel pump?

jus waste $20 to buy new pump also cannot produce bubbles...
