There are 1 Ft T5 lightsets, but they are low output (8 - 11W). I was told by a few LFS that the minimum length for HO T5s is 2 Ft. Depending on the height of your tank and the corals you keep, you need to consider carefully if it meets the lighting requirements of your tank inhabitants.

i actually trying to start a 1ft cube....i have 13w pl as well i'm juz not sure whether the light is enough to sustain mushroom n zoos..i think whther the t5 ft woud be better?anyone noe which lfs is selling them?

I have kept mushrooms, rics and zoas with 11W PL before without any problems, so you can give it a try. But my tank was 10" in height. Not much difference.
