too much hair... distracting. especially the red patch on the top right.

could do away the watch.

overexpose over at the left hand side. Could use some warm lights to make it better

the eyes is a bit soft. Think you need to sharpen up the eyes

I agree with nleong's comments. plus I think the head angle a bit strange, should be lifted a bit more, then not only will the head be along the pic's diagonal but her right eye (our left from our view) won't be pushed right to the corner, looks a bit strange now.

I think the cropping is very nice tho, quite perfect to me.

Sorry did not note down the settings for this one (fstop, exposure etc..)

The messy hair, hee hee, was actually using a fan to blow at her, hoping to get some artistic effect lah

The red band, yup good point, very distracting.

Have crop that away.

As for under exposing, my preference is to underexpose a bit for landscape to bring out more colour saturation.

For portraits, I prefer to overexpose to give it a "fairer" feel.

But will definitely give underexposing a try next time.

Actually the eyes were not intentionally "soft".

I was already doing spot focusing on the eye, maybe i a bit ######-eye

Taking pics of young kids quite difficult as their attention is very short-spanned and mood swing quite fast.

So i just grab the opportunity to take a few shots when she was in the mood.

Dare not ask her to remove her favourite bracelet

What i like about this shot was actually, the messy hair, the eyes and the pose. Not the usual pics in the center shot
