Which type of shrimp cleans the fish best

cleaner shrimp. fire shrimp second.

fire shrimp dun think so.. I have 4 now and they do not bother..

Cleaner shrimp only occasionally.. They still prefer fish food..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

"Its easier to blame the 'mantis' or crabs in the tank for missing & dead livestocks.."

what bro arcanehacker means is that he doesn't think fire shrimp cleans at all.. and cleaner shrimp only on occasions..

so its a general consensus that cleaner shrimp is a better choice than fire shrimp if u're looking for a cleaner for ur big fishes.. but generally, when the shrimp grows big and get used to delicious mysis or pellets, they'll gobble on pellets everytime and do less cleaning work..

getting a small size cleaner shrimp might help if u're eager..

Do not depend on your cleaner shrimps to do the job.. I have 3 that does little besides eating leftovers and picking dead skin off my hands when doing maintainence. Its better to keep your fishes strong.

But its fun to see them picking things off the fishes..

picking dead skin..hm...come to think of it there is a kind of fish rear in spas or qianhu that feeds on your dead skin legs...maybe can rear the shrimps to do the same job! :)

haha.. yeah they do. Maybe someone should start a similar spa with cleaner shrimps..
