mm... i'm just wondering what is the optimal temp for zoas to grow? i keep my tank at 28 and i realized the zoos at the lower part of the tank tend to grow faster than those higher up.. i believe the water below is colder too right? since heat rises and the white substrate helps reflect light up...

so am thinking if i should lower my tank's temp for optimal zoas growth...

i also have lots of mushies and some branching lps in my tank

i believe is the flowrate. if it receives too strong flow it will hardly open up, but if it receives moderate flow it will fully blossom. assuming u feed ur corals regularly.

mmm.. but i think the ones at the bottom are under stronger current cause thats where my wavemaker is pointing at. i switch the wavemaker on only in the day time... some other folks have hypothesized that the corals, like us, grow only when the lights are out... maybe that's true in this case?

anyway is 29 an okay temp for zoos, LPS (hammer, frogspawn, octo) and mushies? thinking of dialing the temp up and try...
