Hi,

Has anyone encountered small bubbles apearring on the surface of live rocks (have these rocks for at least 2 years and notice this only after rescaped)?

Tried brushing them off but it appear again and again....The strange thing is that only those live rocks that are nearer to the water surface have that. My return pump and wave maker do not produce any fine bubbles though. Anyone experienced this before and managed to solve it please share...

:thanks:

pretty sure it's "pearling" from the algae on your LR, seeing as it's only rock near to the surface [more light] that has bubbles on.

I think both you and bro xersion are right. It's very thin brown algae and small bubbles grow on top of them ( more obvious once my T5s turn on when the day starts). NO choice but have to perform more periodic water change, run FR and grow cheato now.

:thanks:
