Just checking is it is possible for mushies & anemone to strive in temp of 31degrees? Understand that lower will be better but Temp will it be possible to keep them not more than 31degrees?

Any reefers out there try before? Thanks

bro, i've kept mushies in my 1st tank w/out chiller, n the temp hovers around there during midday till evening, had it abt 6 mths n it did well, but for anemone, i dont think it'll survive long....

Mushrooom confirm can. :)

bro's fishlife & ah-lim, Thanks for the reply. But will the mushies color be less distinct if the temp is around 31 degrees in the long run? My chiller will be set to 30D and it shld activate around 30.5D. SHould not have the chance to reach 31D.

anemone confirm cannot!

Got it, won't even be thinking of it now. I guess my percs pair will still need to go w/o a host until i get the green light to be able to set my chiller to 27D again and i suspect that will be a long long time later :(

Bro, me not letting go la. Think i will keep them until they die of old age. haha. Was thinking that kids are always fascinated by clown fishes inside anemone. My kid will probably be able to recognise that in a few mth time :eyebrow: . But I be giving up the idea as the temp will probably kill the anemone.

how come ur tank specs so high e temp???

maybe u reduce ur lighting hrs?

or u can switch one bulb off if u running two switches

hmm.. can try buy a pc type of commercial fan(what i m doin currently with 4 tubes of HO t5)

but if u got chiller y dun set it lower to cut in ? :pirate:

hehe, bro. The heat produced by the chiller is making everyone complaining and that's why need to either get rid of the chiller or set it in such a way that it will only probably activate once in a while and not every 2-3 hrs once. MH will not be on and will only on 4 T5's at most. All options to relocate the chiller don't seems to be feasible so need to set the chiller temp to 30D lor... Not sure how far mushies and those more hardy corals temperature tolerance so checking out here. If mushies still OK, then my tank will not be totally bare with just fowlr then. I also be testing out within the next few days how many times the chiller will kick-in if i set the temp to 30D. Hopefully, it will be so few that no one notice it. :eyebrow: . :pinch:
