I have a BT that starts to have white spots like pimples..and it scratch its body against the rocks..any cure for that? i have yellow tang and fox fish but doesnt have problem on them.

it might be the famous ich problem, the BT could be stress now

how do i resolve it?

how old is ur tank ? and ur blue tang is it a new addition ?

try paraguard or Metronidazole from seachem.

cos last time when i have this problem, email them and that's what they recommend.

if can catch it, take it out for a dip using paraguard or Metronidazole.

if cannot catch it, the recommendation they give was to use FOCUS and Metronidazole in ur fishfood to feed it.

whether it's reef-safe to do that, i cannot concur but i does put in a small quantity of paraguard and garlicjuice to feed.

if new addition, next time i recommend u to dip them in paraguard before adding into tank.

just my 2cent cos at first i lost a lot of fishes due to ich and they are be introduced in by foreign watersources or organisms(including fishes).

whats FOCUS and metronisazole?my tank is abt 2-3 mths old. BT is not smth new.....have added some new LRs....

they are all products from seachem. focus is a medicated binder which actually allows the medication to bind to ur food.

metronisazole is another medicine for ich.
