Dear reefers,

Could you advise what is the lifespan of a typical UV light? I read in a magazine that they recommended changing after 5,000 hours.

Also, my current UV cannister supports an 18W bulb, was wondering if I can upgrade to a higher wattage bulb? Is the length of the bulbs standard, or dependent in wattage?
