Hi everyone...

i visit the beach very often as i'm a sailor.

just picked up some macro algae yesterday and was wondering if it is safe to introduce them into my 2 week old 3ft marine tank with 81cm by60cm by 60cm refugium+sump...

can you guys help me identify the different types of macro algae and tell me if they are safe to use in my refugium? read somewhere that some are not safe...

the pics are up on my imagestation...

I was looking at the curly wurly green hard stringy algae... that one looks like chaetomorpha! :)

It won't crash like a caulerpa. Try to pick a whole large chunk for your refugium... it'll work. Just be careful not to pick up parasites...
