It depends on what fish you keeping, some fishes which have bigger mouth can take in pellets and bigger food.

but i uses frozen food because it provide better nurtrition for my fishes. pellets have their limitations.

i have a powder blue and it's relatively small so most pellet doesn't suit it and other reef fishes like goby blah blah blah...mandarin cannot survive well if the food are too big. notice that they tends to chew on the food then give up.

the smaller bits left behind is just nice for my seabed eaters and small fishes to peck on time to time esp the slow feeder.

becos normally when we feed, we believe only our eyes but most fishes will eat behind our back.

i think to evaluate how good a product is, is not just by seeing with our own eyes but by judging our fishes' health in long run.

basically i choose to alternate my feeding with dry and frozen food.

for dry food i choose life spectrum and ocean nurtrition because they are among the top.

eating dry food is not very healthy even that it promises vitamins, but feel it's like eating combat ration or biscuit everyday.

for frozen food, i choose X-nature because they provide nutrition than brineshrimp.

Just my 2cents.
