Eden 288- 1000l/h self rotating pump @ $39

Hi all, saw an Eden 288 self rotating powerhead sold at $39, spec as below:

1) Power consumption: 30W

2) Flowrate: adjustable from 250l/h to 1000l/h

3) Made in Italy (according to Mr Chan from Nature Aquarium)

4) Self rotating (90 ded)

anyone used this pump before? how is the performance? is auto rotating head lasting, or just work for a short period?

Is there other lobang where i could get it cheaper?

I'm having a cube tank and going to cycle the tank once the cabinet is done (delayed due to wrong spec on door & skirting). Is the 1000l/h model sufficient for my tank? I does'nt want to have some many powerhead in my tank caused it does'nt look good. I also cannot choose a pumpo which is too strong (more than 1600l/h) as the water will splash out! pls recomend?

I have this in my tank. Not very good really. Prone to jams n the head will stop rotating.

thats the same price as Nature aquarium....

btw, after reading some post from bros in Arofanatics, they claim that this pump is actually quite good.... The rotating head is actually not rund by any mechanical parts but the water flow from the powerhead itself...the head stop rotating because it was usually cloged with some dirts sort of stuff, after cleaning, it will continue rotate again.

any comment? izzit tru that the rotating head run by waterflow?

No it dont rotate.. Get it from EDmund .. very good deal ...

why maxjet pump good? can explain more?

watch out for eden...gives out alot of heat. Maxijet is good as it uses less wattage..meaning a cooler tank.
