Well algae boom phase almost over, coralin growth getting more n more on the liverocks plus most of the sps i've gotten that initially lost its colouring or were tot to STN have regained most of its colours except 1 small acro frag. Have just changed to a reeflux 12k bulb a week ago which has yet to so called 'burnin'. Anyway heres some pic updates. Seem to have found a way to take clearer pics with my old 3.2 pixel cam.

Haha notin to update lah my tank currently flooded with fishes, trying to balance the high bioload with the NP biopellets plus sps frags see if it'll work out. I've sold off most of my bigger colonies of sps as i prefer growing them from small frags nowsadays, shape grows better and they acclimatise better to ur own water parameters.

U want Sunset monti? I can get a small colony for u no prob ... i'll leave it with Cedric the next time i'm there to rob his frags n u can collect at his place since he stay so near u.

That would be too kind of you. Small one will do. I also enjoy seeing them grow out.

Anyway, frags do have a higher survival record. I'm not too sure of NP pellets leh. Last time I used that, had some casualty.

But it could be just me.

Ok i've always wanted a counter on by the front of the tank so i decided to DIY one since i got notin better to do today. Got what i needed all from Homefix store.

Pic 1 : The parts needed :-

1pc Pinewood plank (1200X200mm) = $15.95

2 packets of self-tapping screws = $4.50

1 set of folding brackets = $12.20

1 can of woodstain (walnut color) = $25.85

Total cost = $58.50

Pic 3 : Since the white did'nt match my cabinet i decided to spray them black after preping their surface a bit with sandpaper

Pic 4, 5 & 6 : Marked out the length and rounded corners to be cut off then smoothened then painted with woodstain (3 coats, suppose to do 4 but i lazy)

Pic 7 & 8 : After waiting impatiently for the paints to dry i installed the brackets to my tank cabinet then secured the counter shelve to the bracket, took only like 20mins ...

Pics 9 & 10 : The final product, total ttime spent approximately 8hrs ... hope u guys like it. Now my friends can sit in frt of the tank n enjoy a cold beer instead of just standing hehe ..
