Haha... Sure but will not be fragging the seafan anytime soon even though they are growing... The growth is quite slow actually..

have been wondering where all the rainbows went after the rain...

now we know

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Assumption killed the dinosaurs, they didnt have test kits.

  • 2 weeks later...

Did several changes to the setup recently, observed some slight improvement in colours...

1) added dosing pump. thanks to iwarna. 'manual' dosing is now history. And definitely a lot more hassle free!

post-13920-022697600 1284224710_thumb.jp

2) Additional 4 more tubes of T5. Bringing my lighting power consumption to a total of 10 tubes or 240W. = oooppps, no pix for this unfortunately.

Noticed some 'brown' SPS slowly changing colours. :)

As shared by Cedric during his talk at the exhibition today, lighting is an integral part in SPS keeping. :ThanxSmiley:

Like to share my humble Side Tank Shot and Front Tank Shot - as a journal...

Am in the midst of planning some mini project, this scape will change in the next month or so... for keepsake:

Please do share ur thoughts and suggestions on how to improve the colours of the corals... i noticed that my setup can't really hold pink colours...

Tank Parameters as of 10 Sep:

- Temp: 26-27 degress Celsius

- Ca: 380

- KH: 7dkH

- Mg: 1160

Am trying to boost up Ca and Mg to 410 and 1250 respectively (hope this can happen in the next 1 month).

IMHO, slightest brown out will shift the hot pink colouration to dull pink. That is why pink mille is difficult.

Give it some time and constant water perimeter and bright light to regain the colour.
