Hi,

Need some advise on my start up.

Just started convert my 2 ft freshwater to marine tank.

current equip tank.

A sump filter by the side. (bio balls / fine and corse filter)

4 cm sand bed.

some dead LRs

Skimmer

2ft normal fluo light

Hydrometer to check PH and santity and temperature

(thinking of another overhead filter- but not sure necessary??)

Wanted a FOWLR Tank

ideally wans only few fishes (2 x clowns and some bennies or damsels)

and Shrimps, starfish and some crabs / snails.

Started cycling my water last week.

Throw in a molly yesterday (doing fine)

and a piston shrimp (got it from bro cheng)

Any advices on what to do next??

Tank cleaners??

or wait till the tank is fully cycled??

Being a responsible reefer, it's best to test your parameters esp. NO3 b4 you put in any LS into your tank. The tank needs to be cycled for at least 1 mth so I suggest you do not add any LS until you have cycled tank for at least a month. Test water parameters before you add LS.
