 Hi Fellow reefers,

I'll be travelling to Hong Kong, after so many cancelled trip for the past 1 year. I'm looking for Aqua-Care, HW, Kent, H&S and Korallin products. Any advise on which stores at the so called fish street in HongKong will carry these products? THe last time I was there, I was in a such a hurry before return flight and only manage to buy a box of calcium @ 50% price. I was told that there was a recent hike in Marine equipment sales from Hong Kong into China's Rich & Famous .................hopefully I get to see the latest.......and increase brands & selections.

Plse PM me the contacts in Hong Kong if you been there recently or is there any store that you will highly recommend for their equipment.

:thanks:

Hi Maxima:

Can find out for me prices of Resun chillers:CL280, 450 and 650? All shops along fish street is interesting. Do take ur time to enjoy.... :)

For Resun products, you should get it from GuanDong, ShenZhen or etc.....cost 1/3 the price compare to S'pore!!!!

I'm actually looking for more exotic German stuff

DB,

I bought a Schuren skimjet 120 with aquabee pump at 30% cheaper than here (less than S$500). Managed to check-in and bring back. Most Kent products are 20-30% cheaper than here and come in giant sizes. I bought 1/2 gal bottles of Kent chomaplex and trace elements at about S$80 each. Here, it is equal to 4 of the large bottles selling at $40 each in LFS. That's 50% cheaper.

As for live fish, not worth the trouble as they are at most a few dollars cheaper. Plus all the hassle and risk of the bugger dying on you.

Also, Tunze streams are quite dificult ot find now as the LFS owner told me that the Hongkongers don't pay for such expensive gadgets. Only King's Aquarium (In Cantones "Hoi Wong") has one set of 6100 with 7091 contrller left when I was there at the beginning of the month.

MH bulbs there are more exp than here so don't need to look.

I am waiting for Tiger air to lift off, than I can go to Hong Kong and buy more stuff and even cover airfare with the savings. Hee :D

I think (marine) therefore I am

guys...thanks for the reply

...saw the elusive Conspicuous Angelfish...going at HK$4000 ...about slightly lesser than $1000 in S$....

a lot of nice specimens not seen locally....I think HK prefers big fishes ....

decided not to bring back LS instead....troublesome....spent money on some equipments like maxijets and tunze..
