Yellow Brain,natural or dyed?

Just bought a yellow coloured brain from some lfs.

Its 70% full yellow and have lighter shades in some parts.

Is there such a brain (yellow) or is it dyed?

If you r not sure, why you bought it ??? Is it very cheap ?

Seriously I thought its real until I got home with it,surf SRC and saw some 'anything thats yellow,its dyed'...

I din now theres no naturally coloured yellow brains,lobos,etc..The price,its less than 30bucks.Well,being a noob I was quite unaware of the coral prices.

Thought it was a good bargain.

Anyway my finance minister was the one who spotted it first and falls in love with it

There are indeed many yellow corals in nature, porites and tubastraea are available commonly in yellow.

Maybe, you would like to post of pix of your coral for the bros here to advise. The worst situation will be you have a bleached brain.

I've seen yellow dyed brain corals in LFS before. They are usually of the fleshy type which has bleached white and the tissue will readily absorb the dye.
