Hi all

Which are the good doctor fish to keep? is it a hardy fish? Please advice.

:thanks:

instead of going for Cleaner wrasse, u should consider getting others like cleaner shrimp, neon gobies instead. Cleaner wrasse do not fair well and hv notorious poor survival rate in the aquarium.

Let us work together to preserve the world for our children to inherit by being responsible to our surroundings. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, bubbles and memories.

^ agreed. :) cleaner wrasse doesnt last long in captivity, unless got a huge community of big tangs and angels for it to pick parasites off.. even if it feeds on mysis & prawn meat, still wun last quite long..

cleaner shrimps are nice, but beware they will dig food out of corals when u feed ur corals.. <_< hate them for that..

neon gobies are nice and good, but costly..

Totally agree with u snowsman, n hv been on a lookout for the neon goby. Understand so far I know of blue n gold neon goby which is the better one.

They shld be very hardy, maybe u release too fast in ur main tank, check out from here on how to release them in the tank.

For my first pair was in the tank for 1 mth plus n then they were KILLED by six line wrasse.

The second pair have since grow from a small size to the full size now and hv spawn twice n they r real terror when come to food, they will swim to the surface to snatch for food but they r hardworking though cause always clean my lemonpeel

I have 2 cleaner shrimps but it just die of the next day :paiseh:

I personally tried cleaner wrasse on few occassions but they only last for a few days. In fact, I just bought a bi-colour wrasse from reborn yesterday. Was told that it will survive longer than normal cleaner wrasse or golden doctor. Hopefully it will survive. It is 2,3 times more expensive than a normal cleaner wrasse though.
