Sediment Handling

I´m seting my tank to keep SPS but the sediment seems to be a problem...

Every day I find sediment in the tank (BB) and in the sump so I keep syphoning. I thik it is due to the worms in the live rock that makes new chanels.

How do I manage it? I already have 50X flow and BB.

My tank is 2.2 ft long, 30 gal with a 10 gal sump. Deltec apf600 skimmer, DIY Calcium reactor.

Sediments are a problem with BB tanks... so yeah, you'll always have this problem.

I guess the only way to remove such sediments is to catch them in some filter floss or a micron sock.

Try to direct a wavemaker at the bottom to make the debris fly.

I´ll keek siphoning I guess...

I think that worms make things worse because they make chanels in the rock. Has anyone tried "flat worm exit" ?

In a non BB tank sediments goes to the bed and fauna take care of them?

You should consider bristleworms as good citizens because they help clear up uneaten food or dead fish unless they grow to plague proportions or start eating your livestock. No need to target them unnecessarily and Salifert Flatworm Exit may stun them but won't kill them unless you use a lot of it.
