Black Angel

Recommended Posts

HI bro,

Just wonder what angels cannot be mixed together in the same tank? I have a black angel with me for long time, recently I added in a coral beauty. But end up the black angel keep chasing after the new coral beauty. Wonder if there is any issue to keep these 2 together as I was told by the fish shop there is no problem to keep the 2 in the same tank...

Ur black has become territorial which explains why. By the way if urs is a small tank it will bound to happen unless u release both of them together and if there r enough caves for each of them then they may not fight. If u do a study on it angels r not compatible unless urs is a big tank.

I also take a risk by adding a flame angel to my tank which already has a lemon peel in it n after 2 weeks the flame was dead sandwich in btw rocks dun know is it being chased by the lemon cause it only harass the flame for the first 2 days and after that on n off to chase it away from the cave.

Will be trying again after I find suitable rock to create another cave. :eyebrow:

Hi Bros

Currently I have 1 Pympy Angel , a pair of Bi-color Angels, 1 Coral Beauty, 1 Flame Angel, 1 Midnight (black) Angel and 1 Blue Face Angel in my tank. These Angels are not added into the tank at the same time. Pympy being the first and Blue face the last.

Learn some tricks from books and reefers as follow to share:

1. When purchase a new fish, qurantine it. Ensure it is free from disease and feeding well. Ensure that the speed this fish can feed will be able to get food when goes into your main tank.

2. Try to add the new fish when lights are off and most of fishes are asleep. This way, when the new fish been introduce, it has time to adapt to the new environment.

Off cos, proper planning what fishes you wish to have is important. As there are certain fishes are more aggressive then the rest (in general) , thus which fish should be first and which to be last is critical. Example, I wish to have a Sohal and thus this fish will be my last fish. Thus till now, it is not purchase yet.

Hope this help.

Normally newly add on fish need 2 weeks go get along with the crew. What i did is keep the new fish in the beta box for 3 to 4 days before release to the main tank to minize stress + make sure it star to eat first.
